[Agvisors] Transfer Orientation Dates

Hi Agvisors,

I have modified the Analytics admission report and agent and you should now be receiving the list of all students admitted for Summer/Fall 2016 (if you don't get the report and want to please let me know and I can add your name to the agent list).  We currently have 38 transfers and 861 freshmen admitted into CALS (wow! It isn't even February yet!).

I have already had a few fall 2016 transfers try and sign up for the spring orientation dates, so I know a few of them are champing at the bit to get here on campus for orientation.  Based on your feedback I have scheduled fewer orientation sessions than last year and tried to get most of them earlier in the day.  The few dates that are in the afternoon fall on the same day as the Transfer Welcome event and we want to make sure that students are able to attend both if they want to.  Please mark these dates and times on your calendar now!!


*         Friday, February 26: college meeting- 8:30am, major advisor meeting- 10:30am

*         Friday, March 11: college meeting- 8:30am, major advisor meeting- 10:30am

*         Friday, March 25: college meeting- 8:30am, major advisor meeting- 10:30am

*         Friday, April 8: college meeting- 8:30am, major advisor meeting- 10:30am

*         Friday, April 29: college meeting- 8:30am, major advisor meeting- 10:30am

*         Wednesday, May 18: college meeting- 8:30am, major advisor meeting- 10:30am

*         Wednesday, June 1: college meeting- 8:30am, major advisor meeting- 10:30am

*         Thursday, June 23: college meeting- 8:30am, major advisor meeting- 10:30am

*         Friday, July 22 (Transfer Welcome date): college meeting- 1pm, major advisor meeting- 3pm

*         Monday, July 25 (Transfer Welcome date): college meeting- 1pm, major advisor meeting- 3pm

*         Monday, August 8: college meeting- 8:30am, major advisor meeting- 10:30am

*         Monday, August 15 (Transfer Welcome date): college meeting- 1pm, major advisor meeting- 3pm

*         TENTATIVE, in case it is needed, Friday, August 19: college meeting- 8:30am, major advisor meeting- 10:30am (this is the last business day before the fall semester starts)

I will be sending out the college welcome emails to the transfer students today and tomorrow and the orientation sign-up sheet is live, so if you talk to any transfer students please refer them to sign up now.
