[Agvisors] CALS probation students after Fall 2015 final decisions with Spring 2016 requirements

Greetings Agvisors:

Hope the first two days of classes have gone well.

The emails sent to the probation students will be uploaded to the CAS Agvisors link for your reference.  Attached are the final decisions per student in alpha order by major.  The key to the letter column (on the attachment) with college requirement is below.

All 1st time probation students need to fill out an Academic Plan online<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1XSsjbZcLtmnk71uFMjs_lSrV6rSdSujrV5EEl2qKMu4/edit> (we are no longer using the hard copy of the former plan; we will acknowledge those that have been signed since more than a handful came to CAS walk-ins already to finalize all steps below).  All Agvisors should have access to viewing all Academic Plan entries<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1K_H2qcP1NOmxRuzM9Jkl8iUC_c2t57F5PJUOVD1MCmg/edit#gid=2056031732> on a shared CAS google drive.  If you do not have access please notify Kristen Geary (kgeary at email.arizona.edu).  This cohort of students have been notified to complete the following steps in order:

1.       Fill out the academic plan online

2.       Schedule an appointment with you as their major advisor to discuss the academic plan.  **Please enter an advisor note on UAccess indicating you met with the student to discuss their academic plan so that when they meet with a CAS advisor (step 3) Kristen or I can verify their meeting with you. Since we no longer have the hard copy of the plan the advisor note will suffice.  Thanks!

3.       Schedule an appointment with a CAS advisor (Kristen or I) by calling 52-621-3616 or at Forbes 203.




Status:                                                                                                                  College requirement:
1st time probation freshmen (letter 2A)                                                  complete CALS195A (*all students in this category are already manually enrolled; if you come across any that are not please notify me via email or by phone)

1st time probation transfers (letter 2B)                                                    complete HED296 (*same as above)

1st time probation continuing student (letter 2C)                                complete Bounce Back program (this is a 7 week online module completed via D2L which will start in early Feb.; students will automatically be enrolled in this program)

Continuing students on probation (letter 3)                                          sign up for a workshop<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1F9098sQL9B_2GIO6fWaIq685DA_T1We-Xiw7trXwR4c/edit?usp=drive_web> (6 workshops will be offered the week of Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 - attendance at one is required)

Continuing students on probation with Fall term academic progress (letter 4)       no action required in regards to a program. They just need to electronically  review and electronically sign the academic agreement via UAccess Student Center.

Courtesy students on probation (letter 6)                                              complete Bounce Back program (this is a 7 week online module completed via D2L which will start in early Feb.; students will automatically be enrolled in this program)


Disqualified students (letter 1)                                                                   were withdrawn from SP16 courses on Friday 1/8/16


**All students that have a "-A" next to the letter number they received (i.e. 2A-A)  will be changed to CALS NMS for this Spring 2016 term.
