Good afternoon Felicia and All Advisors:

Thank you for the email. Send the information to Cindy Williams at williamscindy at email.arizona.edu<mailto:williamscindy at email.arizona.edu> by February 1, 2016 and copy Jim Hunt (jeh at email.arizona.edu<mailto:jeh at email.arizona.edu>) and myself (nancyr at email.arizona.edu<mailto:nancyr at email.arizona.edu>) on it. Either one of us will assure Associate Dean Staten obtains the information as well.

Keep us posted if you have other questions.

Best,
Nancy

Good afternoon Nancy,
Should we select a key person from each major to respond to this message? It states that we are to send our message to an associate dean, would that be Jim Hunt or do you want to gather our information?

Just want to be sure who should serve as the spokesperson and where to send our information. Thank you for always helping us out.

Sincerely,
Felicia

Re: GPA Questionnaire

Over the past several years, we've seen an increase in the use of GPA and grade requisites to restrict enrollment in courses and undergraduate majors and to establish GPA requirements for entrance into and graduation from undergraduate majors. Dr. Gail Burd has created a GPA Task Force to examine these practices on our campus and compare them with what other AAU institutions are doing to determine if the University should establish some guidelines and policy recommendations regarding such practices.

The GPA Task Force has developed the attached questionnaire to gather information about GPA and grade requisite practices on campus. Associate deans are asked to work their departments to collect this information for each undergraduate major offered in their college. In most cases, the academic advisors may possess the most comprehensive understanding of these practices. Each academic department that offers undergraduate majors should complete the questionnaire and email it to Cindy Williams at williamscindy at email.arizona.edu<mailto:williamscindy at email.arizona.edu> by February 1, 2016.
Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. My phone number is 621-0950 and my email address is coonan at email.arizona.edu<mailto:coonan at email.arizona.edu>.
