Greetings Agvisors:
Happy February! The 2nd Agvisors Meeting this term will take place on Tuesday February 23 from 11:00am-1:00pm at McPark 206. Lunch will be available by 11:00am. Please submit your lunch selection from Paradise Bakery to Maria Bueno (mbueno at email.arizona.edu) no later than Monday 2/22 by 12pm. CARDON TEACHING ACADEMY SEMINAR AND PUBLIC LECTURE--MARK YOU CALENDAR TODAY!
The Fellows of the Cardon Teaching Academy have invited Kerry Litzenberg to be the inaugural 2016 Cardon Teaching Scholar. Professor Litzenberg is Regents Professor, Presidential Professor for Teaching Excellence, and Minnie Stevens Piper Professor of Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M University. Dr. Litzenberg is nationally recognized for his innovations in the classroom, academic advising, and research on student success inside and outside of the classroom.
Professor Litzenberg will be giving two presentations:
Thursday, April 7, 2:00 p.m., CALS Cardon Teaching Academy Seminar, Haury Lecture Hall (S107), ENR2, "Preparing Our Students for Career and Life Success: What are the Stakeholders Looking For?" A reception will follow this seminar in the Forbes lobby.
Friday, April 8, 1:30 p.m., Cardon Teaching Academy Public Lecture, Gallagher Theatre (Student Union), "Teaching Millennials: Our Opportunities and Challenges"
Please plan to attend both events.
