September 21, 2015: Change of Schedule form with Instructor's and Dean's permission is required to change from pass/fail to regular grade or vice versa.
October 9, 2015: Honors Convocation - no classes from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM (Family Weekend).
October 16, 2015: Change of Schedule form with instructor's permission to ADD or CHANGE classes is accepted until the end of the business day. After this, both instructor and Dean signatures will be required. UAccess is still available to withdraw online through November 1st.
October 19, 2015: All Change of Schedule forms to ADD or CHANGE classes require not only the instructor's signature indicating permission, but also the Dean's signature. By policy, permission from the Dean to make a registration change at this time requires an extraordinary reason. UAccess is still available to withdraw online through November 1st.
October 26, 2015: Deadline to pay tuition ALL UNITS registered as of 8/20/2015 through 10/21/2015 without late charges.
November 1, 2015: Last day to withdraw from a class online through UAccess.
The complete withdrawal process is still available through the last day of classes.

AFE’s Paid Floriculture and Horticulture Internships!
The deadline is October 1, 2015 for online applications for AFE’s Vic & Margaret Ball Intern Scholarship Program and the Mosmiller Intern Scholarship Program (http://endowment.org/internships/) .
Completing one of AFE’s two floriculture and horticulture internship programs allows students to:
* Train at the industry’s top facilities
* Develop critical skills, potentially improving employment opportunities
* Get diverse, hands-on paid experience
* Apply classroom knowledge to real and practical situations
Students can jump start their careers with a life-changing experience in commercial floriculture production away from home with The Vic & Margaret Ball Intern Scholarship Program (http://endowment.org/student/) , made possible through a generous gift from Vic and Margaret Ball. This program offers paid internships for three, four or six months and provides scholarships of up to $6,000 upon completion.
The Mosmiller Intern Scholarship Program (http://endowment.org/mosmiller-student/) honors the late Colonel and Mrs. Walter E. Mosmiller Jr., and allows students to gain real experience working with leaders in floral retail, wholesale or allied trades. The Mosmiller Intern Scholarship program offers paid internships for 10-16 weeks and provides scholarships of $2,000 upon completion.
Eligibility requirements:
* Student must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in a floriculture/environmental horticulture program at a two-year or four-year college or university in the U.S.
* Student must be maintaining a “C” or better GPA
* Student must complete internship prior to graduation

REMINDER: Apply for Native Agriculture & Food Systems College Scholarships
First Nations Development Institute (First Nations (http://org2.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=9whupvSwarMJyc0mKSoa946E0bGLH%2BP1) ) is accepting applications for its First Nations Native Agriculture and Food Systems Scholarship Program (http://org2.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=izgsEZ3AHF3IMJ6w6MJLSI6E0bGLH%2BP1) that aims to encourage more Native American college students to enter the agricultural sector in Native communities.
First Nations will award five $1,000 scholarships to Native American college students majoring in agriculture and related fields, including but not limited to agribusiness management, agriscience technologies, agronomy, animal husbandry, aquaponics, fisheries and wildlife, food production and safety, food-related policy and legislation, horticulture, irrigation science, plant-based nutrition, and sustainable agriculture or food systems.

* Be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student majoring in agriculture or an agricultural-related field, including food systems.
* Be Native American (enrolled member of a current or terminated federal/state tribe) and be able to provide documentation.
* Have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0.
* Demonstrate a commitment to helping his or her Native community reclaim local food-system control.
Applicants will be asked to complete an online application and provide other required information, including proof of tribal enrollment, college enrollment verification, unofficial transcripts, a letter of recommendation from a faculty member, and a short essay submission of 250 to 500 words.
First Nations believes that reclaiming control over local food systems is an important step toward ensuring the long-lasting health and economic well-being of Native people and communities. Native food-system control has the potential to increase food production, improve health and nutrition, and eliminate food insecurity in rural and reservation-based communities, while also promoting entrepreneurship and economic development. The purpose of the Native Agriculture and Food Systems Scholarship Program is to encourage more Native American college students to enter these fields so they can better assist their communities with these efforts.

Job Description & Responsibilities
The support of the Student Services Fee provides the opportunity for five undergraduate students to represent various academic colleges within the University and promote programs and resources provided by Career Services. This team will be directed by UA Career Services staff and graduate assistants to promote programs and resources to further develop relationships between Career Services and the colleges within the UA. Ambassadors will initiate and implement promotion of programs and services, attend and promote events using social media and serve as a professional liaison and resource for students and colleges across campus.
Qualifications:
* Currently enrolled as a University of Arizona undergraduate student for 2015-2016 school year in good academic standing (GPA of 2.75 or higher preferred)
* Possess strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
* Ability to provide leadership and outreach to other students in meaningful ways
* Experience creating and delivering engaging presentations to diverse audiences
* Experience using and creating social media for educational/professional purposes
* Dependable, professional, energetic
* Must be able to follow direction and work with minimal supervision

Volunteer Opportunity for students in ENVS/PLS and any related sustainability fields!
The UA Compost Cats are a student-run composting operation that diverts organic waste from landfills. Every year we organize waste management for Tucson Meet Yourself, one of the largest local events of the year.
Around 100,000 people come through the festival and nearly all of them buy something to eat. We compost hundreds of pounds of waste from this festival, but we can't do it alone!

INTERN IN MILITARY CHILD AND YOUTH PROGRAMS
A partnership between the Cooperative Extension System and the Department of Defense has provided the funding for a national, military childcare/youth development internship program. Through this initiative, students and recent graduates have the opportunity to develop professional skills in childcare and youth development through practical work experience with military children, youth, and families.
Interns are placed on military installations across the United States with limited opportunities for international placement and receive an hourly wage or stipend and assistance with travel expenses for their efforts. Current students may obtain academic credit for this experience if desired. The Military Extension Internship Program will accept applications for theSpring 2016 class until September 30, 2015. Students will be notified of their application’s status at the beginning of November.
