Subject: [UPAC] Change to Advisor Notes: Addition of Career Field

Hello.

A small change will soon appear on the Advisor Notes page. As departments and colleges outside of undergraduate advising have expressed interest in using Advisor Notes there was some concern over privacy, security, and usage. As such, access to Advisor Notes is now partitioned based on a new Career field on the Advisor Notes page. All existing advisor notes have been updated with a Career of "Undergraduate" and security has already been assigned to users. For many of you, the impact will be inconsequential as you'll only have access to one Career (so the Career field will default to that available career). If you do have access to multiple careers, the Career field will default to the career you used previously when you create a new note.

Career Field Drop Down Selection (will only populate with values you have access to; if you only have access to one Career that career will automatically be set as the default value):

If you are a security requester, you'll be prompted to choose the career(s) that are appropriate for the user needing access when you select a role or composite that contains Advisors Notes access.
