November 26 - 29, 2015: Thanksgiving Recess, no classes.
December 9, 2015: LAST DAY OF CLASSES. No registration changes can be made after the last day of classes. Last day for complete withdrawal. Last day to submit a $25.00 Drop Fee Appeal form. Last day to submit a $250.00 Late Registration Fee appeal.
Spring 2016 Priority Registration Dates
November 16, 2015: Registration open to all degree seeking continuing students for registration adds, drops, and changes.

November 18, 2015: Registration open to all degree seeking readmits and transfers for registration adds, drops, and changes.

December 18, 2015: Registration open to all non-degree seeking undergraduate students.

Tickets will be issued Monday, December 7th to Friday, December 11th. There are currently NO restrictions on the number of guests that can be invited, but they must RSVP for tickets.

2016 Summer Internship
Opportunity Announcement:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Environmental Health and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (NCEH/ATSDR) are offering a paid 10-week summer internship program for students who are passionate about the environment, interested in human health, and curious about how they are linked. During the course of the internship, students are introduced to environmental health at the federal level through collaborative projects, experiential learning opportunities, environmental health presentations, journal clubs, field trips, brown bag lunches, and mentoring relationships at NCEH/ATSDR.  Interns will be based at NCEH/ATSDR’s Chamblee Campus and will be paid a stipend of approximately $600 a week during the course of the program.

EDP 110A: Meaningful Learning and Engagement: From Learning to Innovation (1 unit)
MWF 9-9:50, 1/13-2/17/16
This course is one in a three course series on meaningful learning and engagement at the college level. The overall purpose of this series is to introduce students to theories of learning, motivation, and identity development from an Educational Psychology perspective. Students will explore how these theories describe and explain aspects of their own academic lives. Students will also have the opportunity to actively develop their skills for engaging in meaningful learning and participation within their university communities. The focus of this course is to examine the relationship between knowledge and learning and explore the topics of curiosity, knowledge construction, and strategic thinking.

Build your teaching knowledge and skills by taking these Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) classes!

Taking HUMS 479 and 482 completes the minimum TEFL certification to teach abroad. The practicum, HUMS 494, is strongly encouraged for hands-on experience.
All courses except the Practicum are taught online and have office hours available Wednesdays from 6-7pm.

The University of Arizona Police Department has been made aware of some instances in Tucson where individuals misrepresent themselves as Uber or Lyft drivers.
These situations could be dangerous and UAPD would like to remind you to utilize good safety practices at all times. If you use Uber or Lyft, do not get in unless you verify the identity of the driver and what type of vehicle will be picking you up.

Cooking on Campus is only $5 a class. All classes are from 5:15-6:30pm every other Tuesday at the Rec Center.

We teach students step-by-step recipes while explaining cooking techniques and the nutritional value of different foods. National Collegiate Leadership Conference 2016
The National Collegiate Leadership Conference (NCLC) is an annual, student-run conference that serves as the cornerstone of the leadership experience and training for hundreds of college students across the nation. The conference extends beyond the conventional definitions of leadership and is designed to help students tap into and expand their leadership potential, helping them grow both personally and professionally. Each year, over 600 participants from universities and colleges in over 20 states attend  NCLC to learn about leadership.

Who Should Attend:
The conference is open to all current and emerging college student leaders and advisors. If you are interested in college level, student leadership development opportunity, then NCLC is for you!

Friday, February 12th 2016 - Sunday, February 14th 2016

Position: Operations Crew
(temporary; seasonal)

Great opportunity for “winter break” employment! Accepting inquiries now for the Arizona National Livestock Show Operations Crew. Join the Largest Livestock Show in the Southwest as a member of the Operations Team. Our show in Phoenix attracts exhibitors’ form throughout the United States and Canada. Many Arizona Agriculture leaders have been a part of this historic operations Crew work experience tradition over the past 68 years. Your experience is welcome.

Typical duties:
• Sets up of livestock show venues, special exhibits, event elements, western art displays and trade show venues
• Daily coordination of show ring venues, sale venues, and assistance to Show management and superintendents in barn operations
• Assist in arrival and release of livestock and exhibits
• Operation and movement of equipment and supplies
• Work with livestock photographers
• Assist with sponsor and promoter operations
• Display work, traffic control, inventory, special projects • Facility maintenance, repair and clean up
• Local delivery work in Phoenix
• Assist Show office in general operations
• Assist with livestock movement and release

Helpful experience:
• Livestock, equine, or farm production experience
• Livestock show exhibitor and Fair experience
• Basic mechanical skills
• Event experience
• Retail experience
• Desire to work with a team and be outside

Work schedule and dates:
