Greetings CALS Students:

I know that you are in the midst of your last final exams, but if you don't already have an internship or summer employment secured please consider the opportunity below.

I wanted to let you know about an employment opportunity (especially for the summer) that USDA is going to be offering to students (to any types of students, i.e., BS, MS, and PhD.), The opportunity will be listed as a "Student Trainee" with the United States Department of Agriculture - Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service - Plant Protection and Quarantine at the Nogales, AZ port of entry. The position is a paid position, will be for about 20-40 hours of service per week, and the position will have the applicant being able to work with the federal government with such agencies as the USDA, Customs and Border Protection, and Border Patrol at the Arizona/Mexico port of entry, and learning about entomology, botany, plant pathology, and malacology.
