Happy New Year Agvisors!

Hope you all enjoyed or are still enjoying your holiday break.

This upcoming Monday, January 5 from 9-11:30am the CALS Academic Standards Committee will be meeting at Saguaro Hall 219 to review the CALS academic probation report.  You are all welcome to join us in particular to view and make decisions on your students.

Pastries will be provided.

We are also in need of an instructor for either sections 2 or 4 of CALS 195A.  CALS 195A is a success course for first time freshman on academic probation.  Students attend class for the first 8 weeks in the term twice a week.   The remainder of the term students meet with their assigned peer mentor.  Grades are posted at the end of the term.  All teaching materials (syllabus, lesson plans, handouts, etc.) are provided by CAS.   Instructors for all sections meet once weekly (8 weeks) for approximately 50 minutes to debrief and plan.   The day and time on this weekly meeting will be decided on once we have all instructors on board.

If interested in teaching one of the sections please let me know as soon as possible.
