Greetings Agvisors:
Happy last day of Fall 2015 classes!
The Fall 2015 Agvisors Retreat will be held on Tuesday December 15th from 9:00am-3:00pm. It will take place on campus at the Environment & Natural Resources 2 (ENR2) building room S225 on the 2nd floor. This new building is located at 1064 E. Lowell St. (west of the 6th street garage): http://map.arizona.edu/. Breakfast pastries will be provided in the morning, and lunch from Tony's Italian Deli (buffet style) will be delivered by 12pm.
We have a full agenda which includes a tour of the UA Student Union Memorial Center Food Production kitchen and guest speakers from the University General Petitions Committee. CAS Associate Dean Michael Staten will join us for the first hour of the retreat. We will have round robin announcements/updates during that time.
Note from the SUMC food production crew:
"Ever wonder where all the food for the University of Arizona is prepared? Visit the University of Arizona's Production Kitchen and learn about the operation as well as some fun facts. UA Senior Executive Chef Omo will provide a tour and answer questions you have!" Because this is a production work setting please have attendees wear close toed shoes (non-slip if possible) and pants/jeans instead of a skirt or shorts.
To obtain a head count please inform Maria Bueno (mbueno at email.arizona.edu) on your attendance plans no later than Monday 12/14 at noon.
Festivity alert.....White Cow gift exchange:
[cid:image001.jpg at 01D01082.501AF040]

As part of the December retreat this year, we'll be having a "White-Cow" Gift Exchange (same thing as a White Elephant). Participation is optional. If you wish to participate, please bring a wrapped gift, cost ranging from $5-$10 for the exchange. Outrageous, ridiculous, and re-gifted gifts are acceptable and encouraged.
If you have not experienced a White Elephant/White Cow Gift Exchange before, the way it works is:

1) Everyone brings a wrapped gift.

2) People draw numbers to determine the order in which they choose and open a gift.

3) Starting with the second person, you can either choose to steal someone else's gift, or to open a new gift. The person who had their gift stolen opens a new gift.

4) This continues down the line until the last person opens their gift. As you can imagine, it can get quite entertaining.
With this group, this is sure to be a lot of fun!
Looking forward to a productive retreat. Keep me posted if you have any questions.
Best,
Nancy
