Subject: Jobs for Social Change for Graduating Students with U.S. PIRG

Hi,

My name is Sean Foran, and I'm a Program Director with U.S. PIRG, but I got my start as a Campus Organizer. I'm working here at the University of Arizona to recruit students to work with U.S. PIRG and help tackle some of the country's most pressing public interest issues. I'm hoping you can help us make an even bigger impact! Would you forward the email below to students in your student organization and anyone else you think would be interested?

Our jobs make a serious impact and offer the chance to learn a ton of skills while still being fun. I got my start working to address water quality issues on the Jersey Shore and now I get to work on diverse issues like promoting solar energy, making text books more affordable, and getting money out of politics. I know that there are students who are interested in these issues, and you can help spread the word!

I think you'll agree, we need more people working to solve problems like the influence money has on our politics. Right now we're in the process of hiring up to 30 talented individuals for U.S. PIRG's Campus Organizer positions. U.S. PIRG Campus Organizers make a direct impact on pressing issues like protecting consumers' rights, increasing participation in democracy, and labeling foods containing genetically modified ingredients. In the past, our campus organizers have helped win campaigns to fund mass transit, make health care more affordable, and make our elections more fair.

Can you share the opportunity with your friends and student organizations so they don't miss out? Also, don't miss out on your opportunity to get involved. You should apply today!

The deadline to apply is March 28th.

Please call or email me with any questions and let me know when you've shared our opportunity!

Thanks,

Sean Foran

**EMAIL TO FORWARD**

Hi,

My name is Sean Foran and I graduated from college with a degree in Astronomy & Astrophysics, but decided I wanted a job with a more immediate impact. Now I have an awesome job and get to make an impact on issues I care about. You can work issues you care about too. Click here to get more info.<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1KRz883F4MJXJPrcjo4XtQ4wadxN2X_jqtTG2aiL1ieE/viewform> The deadline to apply is March 28th.

As a Campus Organizer with U.S.PIRG I worked with students to make social change on issues that are important to them. Right now the students that I work with are working to increase voter participation in our elections, increase recycling on campus and label food that contains GMOs. It's great because I'm working directly with people who want to make social change on their campus and in their community. Every day I'm training students to be leaders and activists so we can make more progress and win our campaigns.

We are hiring more Campus Organizers and I think you should come and work with me<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1KRz883F4MJXJPrcjo4XtQ4wadxN2X_jqtTG2aiL1ieE/viewform>!

Our priority campaign is working to give consumers the right to know what's in the food we buy, by labeling food that contains GMO ingredients. Monsanto and other giant agribusinesses are spending millions to oppose labeling efforts-Big Ag spent close to $40 million against a labeling initiative in California last year. With people increasingly concerned about food choices and taking charge of their health, our goal in the next five years is to pass a federal law that will establish GMO labeling in the U.S.

But, we can't do that without finding smart and passionate graduating seniors to help us fight for progress in the coming years.

If you're like me, you'll agree that these issues are too important to sit on the sidelines. Get serious about social change by applying to run campaigns like this. Become a Campus Organizer with U.S.PIRG!<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1KRz883F4MJXJPrcjo4XtQ4wadxN2X_jqtTG2aiL1ieE/viewform> The deadline to apply is March 28th.

Please email me with any questions about the position or the application process.

Sincerely,

Sean Foran
