Dear Advisors,

Please direct interested and eligible transfer students-students with at
least 56 transfer units or a previous bachelor's degree from an accredited
university-to attend one of the sessions below to learn about what portfolio
submission entails. Students with a previous bachelor's degree do not need
to do the portfolio, but we ask that they attend (or contact us) so that we
can verify the degree in the system and waive ENGL 101 and 102.

The Writing Program's Fall 2014 Transfer Portfolio Information Sessions will
be held on the following dates:

Information Sessions

Wednesday, September 10 - 12:00-12:30, ML 378

Wednesday, September 24 - 12:00-12:30, ML 378

Wednesday, October 8 - 12:00-12:30, ML 378

sessions. The Fall 2014 deadline for portfolio submission is Wednesday,
October 22.

What is the Transfer Portfolio?
The Transfer Portfolio is a process for eligible transfer students  to earn
a waiver for English 101 and/or  102-The University of Arizona's
Undergraduate General Education and Foundation Composition Requirement. As
the Transfer Portfolio process does not grant credit for the courses,
students assume the responsibility to meet with an academic advisor to
determine if a waiver fulfills graduation requirements.

Who is eligible for a Transfer Portfolio?
Students must have at least 56 transfer credits to qualify for a Transfer
Portfolio.
