Are you graduating in May or August, 2014?

We want to celebrate this great achievement and invite you to participate in the
 30th Annual Chicano Hispano Student Affairs (CHSA) Graduation Convocation.(open to all students regardless of major)
The event will be bilingual and a mariachi will perform for your guests as they are being seated; we will also have mariachi music during the Reception following the ceremony. You will receive a CHSA sash as you walk across the stage after your name is read.

30th Annual CHSA Graduation Convocation
Date: Wednesday, May 14, 2014 
Time: 5:30-7:30pm   (graduating students asked to arrive at 4:30; reception following the ceremony from 7:30-8:15 pm.)
Location: Centennial Hall

REHEARSAL: TBA

Convocation Ceremony:  Graduates must arrive at Centennial Hall by 4:30 pm — the Ceremony begins at 5:30, SHARP! Volunteers will instruct you as to the group picture and direct you to the processional line.

Guests: All are welcome. Invite all of your family and friends.

Cost: FREE, no tickets are required.

Dress:  You are encouraged to wear your cap and gown or business formal wear. However, if you choose not to, please do not let this keep you from participating.

We need singers.

The Forest Entomology and Symbiology team at the University of Florida is seeking a POSTDOC and a GRAD STUDENT!
- Be a part of a young, growing team (www.ambrosiasymbiosis.org <http://www.ambrosiasymbiosis.org/> ).
- Work on a hot topic: insect-fungus-microbe symbioses.
- Do relevant research on globally invasive emerging forest pests.
 
POSTDOC: Assist in the development of RNASeq-based assessment of communities of fungal symbionts in beetles. Experience with next-gen sequencing is required.
GRAD STUDENT: Survey fungi in exotic bark & ambrosia beetles in the US, and test pathogenicity of overseas fungi to American trees. Overseas fieldwork included.

  The Writing Skills Improvement program in the College of Humanities offers:
 
NAVIGATING YOUR WAY THROUGH CITATION STYLES
These workshops are designed to answer your most pressing questions regarding the various citation styles that you use when writing essays, research papers, theses, and dissertations. All workshops are free and open to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff, with no preregistration required. Just choose the workshop(s) you wish to attend and show up at the time, date, and location below:

Using Chicago Style, Andrea Hernandez Holm, M.A., M.S.
Tues. April 1, 12-1, Student Union Copper Room
This workshop offers an introduction and overview of the Chicago Manual of Style for students and researchers. We will discuss how to follow the guidelines established for this style, including those for basic citations and formatting issues.
 
Using MLA Style, Dr. Leslie Dupont
Thurs. April 3, 12-1, Student Union Copper Room
This workshop will cover the basics of Modern Language Association (MLA) documentation style guidelines.  We will address issues such as essay formatting, elements of in-text citations and the works cited page, and how to navigate the MLA handbook.

Super Wildcat Weekend!
First fan event: Movie Night at Arizona Stadium on Thursday, April 10.

The movie will be shown on the gigantic CatVision video board and seating will be available in the new lower-bowl north end zone seats. Admission is free and free parking can be found on the surface streets around the stadium (but there is a charge to park in the Cherry Garage).
