Please see the attached announcement concerning the 2014 USDA Agricultural
Outlook Forum Student Diversity Program

distribute it to your undergraduate (juniors and seniors) and graduate
students majoring in agriculture (and related sciences) on your respective
college and university campuses.   

 

In summary, USDA's Agricultural Outlook Forum provides producers,
policymakers, business, government, and industry leaders with a unique
opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, and discuss timely issues at the
forefront of America's agriculture.  In an effort to increase the present
and future diversity of participation in the Forum, USDA created this
program that provides sponsorship opportunities for students to attend this
annual event.

 

The attached program announcement includes full details, including
submission instructions.  The deadline for submissions is November 8th.
Please note that there are separate selection criteria for undergraduate and
graduate students.  

 

All applicants are required to complete and submit the attached "2014
Diversity Program Application", which can be completed on the computer and
saved prior to electronic submission.  This application should be submitted
along with each student's essay submission.

Furthermore, the website features additional information (including examples
