Greetings:

 

The Advising Resource Center launched a new website this morning (
<http://www.advising.arizona.edu> www.advising.arizona.edu).  The site
represents a visually appealing and functional tool designed for a variety
of constituencies: current and prospective students, families, advisors,
faculty and staff. The project is a partnership between Advising Resource
Center staff and Student Affairs Marketing.

 

The site uses a Drupal 7 maintenance interface and includes other new
features: 

.         Drop-down menus for easy advisor directory searching

.         All new minor and course announcement sections

.         Integration with the UA Degree Search site

.         Advisor login section allows for population-specific, private
information

.         Home page news announcements  (let us know if you have a special
student event you would like promoted)

.         More aesthetically pleasing pages with photos

.         And much more.

 

Other key components will be rolled out in the coming months.

 

NOTE: I invite you to make new links to your department's website and also
advise you to make note of any potential broken links the redesign may have
caused.  Take it for a test drive and kindly send edits and updates to
<mailto:advising at email.arizona.edu> advising at email.arizona.edu. We
appreciate all feedback and new content suggestions. Thank you!
