Natural History of the Southwest, Ecol 230, is a Tier II NATS course that presents an overview of the natural world of the place we live. Many people have been drawn to southern Arizona because it is a natural wonderland of rare beauty and interest. We introduce you to basic principles of ecology and evolution illustrated with the plants and animals of our unique region. Learn about deserts, mountains and sea and meet bobcats, saguaros, Gila monsters and ringtails. Natural History of the Southwest is a lecture course which includes live animal demonstrations in class and local field trips.
Meets T-TH 11:00 - 12:15 PM in Marley Building, Room 230

First prize is $500 to the UA Bookstores and second prize is The Loft’s Cult Classics Series passes, two provided per winner.

On Saturday, November 9, 2013, Dean Burgess and the CALS Alumni Council will host the 34th Annual Dean's "Almost World Famous" Burrito Breakfast and Alumni Auction! The event takes place at the Student Union Memorial Center North Ballroom. The silent auction and breakfast begin at 7:30 am with the live auction beginning at approximately 9:00 am.
