email me any courses in your programs that fit this requirement?  I would
greatly appreciate it!  I need them by Friday of this week, as I have to
have the list in on the 9th.

Environmental Sustainability (PACES)

 

The University of Arizona has made the commitment to participate in the
Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education
(AASHE) "sustainability tracking & rating system" (STARS) program that
allows us to comprehensively benchmark our sustainability-related
achievements with other universities. This program has quickly become the
gold standard for rating universities in sustainability.

 

I am writing to ask your assistance in this endeavor by helping identify at
least one sustainability-related course in the degree-granting departments
in your college.  We need to verify that 90% of the university's departments
offer such a course in order to earn full points in the educational category
of STARS.  

 

The University Definition of Sustainability-Related Course is as follows:

 

"Sustainability-related courses examine environmental, social, or economic
dimensions of a system or issue within the context of sustaining specific
qualities over the long-term."

 

Your response by January 9 would be most appreciated, as we must submit our
application by mid-January.   I will be happy to assist, if you have any
questions regarding this request.
