[Agvisors] CALS Math updates request

Greetings Agvisors:

Attached is a list of CALS Majors with Sub-plans (plans that can officially
be declared in UAccess) for the 2012 catalog (requirement term). Refer to
your major and sub-plans (if applicable)and send me any updates you have
regarding the following information below by Tuesday 2/7/12:

1. Double check that all your official sub-plans are listed correctly
1. Math requirements for your major. If they are different based on the
sub-plan please include as well.
2. Science courses that require math placement (biology, chemistry and
physics)
3. Statistics (include all stats courses your major acknowledges: i.e.  you
might list MATH 263 but also acknowledge SBS200, PSY 230, etc.) 
4. For majors that require college algebra, will you as a department
acknowledge a statistics course (ISTA 116 or SBS 200) if the student places
high enough end only ends up taking one of those two stats, or do you still
make students take college algebra?

I will compile this information and send it back to Tina Shuster Moore in
the Math department. This information will be used for many different
avenues:  to include orientation, pre-schedules, and quick guides, to name a
few.
