Fall 2012
What's the difference between MCB 181M and MCB 181L?
The course content is accompanied by greater depth and breadth of study,
increased student role and responsibility in investigations, more extensive
involvement of scientific literature and experiments, and greater challenges
in problem solving. MCB 181M is appropriate for students wanting these
challenges, deeper mastery of introductory biology content and concepts, or
planning advanced careers in molecular biological research. This will be a
challenging course which will yield Honors credit for Honors active
students, but registration is available to regular students as well. MCB
181M is considered equivalent to MCB181L and will substitute for MCB 181L in
the MCB major.
What time will MCB 181M be?
For fall 2012, single, weekly 3-hour Lab meeting times planned for Tue &
Thu. @ 11:00AM & 2:00PM. There will be an additional 1-hour weekly lecture
meeting planned for Fri. @ 3:00PM featuring in-depth background, discussion,
and small-group work.
How do students register for MCB 181M?
Honors Active students may register for MCB 181M using UAccess. Non-honors
students may contact Ms. Asya Roberts, <mailto:asya at email.arizona.edu>
asya at email.arizona.edu, to be added to MCB 181M.
