Using the Advisor Note System

Using the UAccess note taking system is an important part of an advisor's
professional responsibilities.  The system allows advisors to keep track of
the kinds of concerns students present to them and document the specific
advice and information provided to students.  The advisor note taking system
is a helpful way to "start where you left off" when the student comes in for
subsequent meetings and it facilitates communication among advisors and
across departments and colleges.  This seminar includes tips and suggestions
for taking accurate and appropriate notes effectively and efficiently.
Discussion includes strategies to document complex issues such as poor
academic performance, emotional / mental health concerns, implementation and
explanation of academic policies, and more.
