Greetings Agvisors:
Please make sure you visit the Degree Search Website and view your major(s)
to assure the information is accurate. This Degree Search website will be
used for various purposes including new student orientation, recruitment
events, major exploration, to name a few. We want to make sure CALS is
represented accurately with the literature listed on this site. Please take
a look at your content and send your updates to Heather Jepsen (
<mailto:jepsenh at email.arizona.edu> jepsenh at email.arizona.edu) by September
21, 2011 (as stated on the email below from Shelley McGrath).
The major or picture on the 'trading card,' you'll find major details, a
four-year plan, in some cases transfer course equivalencies and career
planning information. The URL for Degree Search is

Both Heather and Kathy Godwin will be joining us at the Sept. 20th Agvisors
meeting but they would appreciate your feedback sooner. Speaking of, the
tentative agenda will be sent out tomorrow.
Best,
Nancy

Subject: Degree Search Website Update and other related items
Greetings!
I am writing to inform you that we've received great feedback so far on the
Degree Search Website. I want to encourage you to sign up as a member of
the Mosaic Community Degree Tracker Website, so that you can see FAQs,
contact information, feedback provided (excellent by the way), and other
communications that will be funneled through this site.
In the interest of maximizing our resources to meet the demands of this
project and due to low attendance at the live feedback sessions, we are
cancelling the feedback sessions scheduled for Tuesday, September 20 and
Wednesday, September 21. We are still holding a feedback session tomorrow,
September 15 from 9 to noon in UITS 112A and on Monday, September 19 from 9
to noon in UITS 130B. You may drop in any time during these sessions. If
you planned to attend the cancelled sessions and cannot re-arrange your
schedule to attend tomorrow or Monday, please make contact with the Business
Analyst assigned to work with your college and she will be happy to schedule
a one-on-one visit with you.
Also, please remember that September 21 is the deadline to provide feedback
on content, i.e., the major description, college description, and four-year
plan. If you want changes made to these, please contact your Business
Analyst to make these changes by that date, so we can make all necessary
changes by our go-live date (September 30). We appreciate those of you who
have already provided feedback/edits, and we have made some changes to the
website and will continue making changes as we approach go-live. Again,
thank you for the thoughtful review, feedback, questions, critiques,
compliments, and support.
Sincerely,
The Degree Tracker Team

Subject: NEW Degree Search Website--Exclusive Advising Preview
Reply-To: "Mcgrath, Shelley M - (smcgrath)" <smcgrath at EMAIL.ARIZONA.EDU>
Dear Advisors:
On behalf of the Degree Tracker Project Team, it is our pleasure to announce
the exclusive advising preview of the new Degree Search Website. We invite
your feedback on content and layout, as we want to make sure that we are
representing your majors correctly. The website includes information about
the degree programs offered, ways in which students will be able to
sort/filter these programs, and if you click on the name of the major or
picture on the 'trading card,' you'll find major details, a four-year plan,
in some cases transfer course equivalencies and career planning information.
The URL for Degree Search is http://degreesearch.arizona.edu/. You're
welcome to review the website off-campus but will need to connect to VPN in
order to do so.
In order to guide your experience with the website, see our Mosaic Community
website for a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) that will help you
understand some of the nuances of the website and also some of its bugs
(still some details to work out). By reading the FAQs you will also find
out where we derived the information that you see.
We are planning a public go-live at the end of September, and would like to
receive your feedback by Wednesday, September 21 (of course the earlier the
better) J. There are multiple venues to give feedback before the go-live.
Of course, there will be changes made after the go-live but we definitely
want to make sure that accurate information is reflected in your majors.
There are several venues in which you can provide feedback:
1. In order to allow our team to efficiently respond to feedback and
make required changes, please provide feedback via our community website at:
http://uamosaicworkshops.ning.com/group/degree-tracker-degree-search.
2. If you wish to attend a live feedback session where we will be
demonstrating the website, answering questions and responding to concerns
you may come to any of the sessions listed on the community website. If you
saw this schedule in an earlier email and placed a time on your calendar,
please note that some locations have changed.
We hope you enjoy exploring the site and look forward to your input and
suggestions.
With sincerest thanks,
Shelley McGrath, Tom Bourgeois, Kathy Godwin, and Heather Jepsen
