Hello Advisors,

 

President Shelton and Chair of the Faculty Wanda Howell have approved an
interim policy on the transfer of physical education (PE) activity courses
from accredited institutions, effective with students admitted for Fall
2011.  The temporary policy is attached.

 

While the UA has traditionally accepted PE educational courses and certain
activity/fitness courses, the interim policy states that all PE
activity/fitness courses may apply toward a bachelor's degree as elective
credit if needed for total units (minimum 120).

 

Interim policies do not appear in the General Catalog.  This Fall the
Undergraduate Council will consider whether the policy should be continued
and added to our undergraduate transfer policies,
