Question 1: How long is the math test score valid for? On-line it indicates one year. Is the same for enrollment eligibility in the statistic courses (MATH 263, 163, SBS 200 and ISTA 116)? Some are under the impression it is good for two years. Please clarify.

For any math course it is 15 months. We tell students 1 year, but it is programmed a bit longer.
CHEM, MCB, SBS, ISTA (non math courses that use placement), scores are good for 2 years.
Math 163 and 263 are 15 months.

Question 2: If a student transfers in a college algebra equivalent do students need the Math Placement Exam in order to be eligible for enrollment in any of the statistic courses?

Incoming freshman need an appropriate score. Transfers with recent college algebra credit or higher (last 3 semesters) are eligible for math, but need to contact the math dept.

The transfer credit for science, SBS, and ISTA does not expire.
