More than 800 people attended, representing nearly every county in the state, and many sectors of the broad spectrum representing Arizona. Dr. Kirk Astroth, the faculty and staff from our Cooperative Extension (CE) offices across the state, 4-H members, leaders, volunteers, the 4-H Youth Foundation, and many supporters contributed to an outstanding event celebrating this important centennial of 4-H in our state.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><!--[if gte vml 1]><v:shapetype id="_x0000_t75" coordsize="21600,21600" o:spt="75" o:preferrelative="t" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" filled="f" stroked="f">

They did an excellent job and all of the participants benefited from the displays, fund raising auctions, good music, and a fine program on a beautiful October day commemorating this important milestone. The Extension faculty and staff who went above and beyond and who deserve special thanks for their months of contributions and hours of work prior to and after the event are: Vic Jimenez, Eric Larsen, Susan Pater, Bryan Chadd, Curt Peters, Jerry Olson, Mike Hauser, Kim McReynolds, Amy Parrott, Tina Christianson, Sandra Saad, Kim Gressley, Dusty Murdoch, Connie Forsyth, and Jeff Schalau. Key 4-H volunteers who helped were Janice Bryson and Denise Warmkowski. It is also important to recognize Dr. Bob Roth, the Director at MAC and all of the staff at MAC who provided the excellent facility and accommodations to conduct this event.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>From the humble beginnings in 1913 in Chandler, Arizona this youth development organization has grown over the past 100 years to positively affect the lives of many thousands of people. The new site is hosted by 3dcart, a commercial vendor that is becoming popular on campus. This change offers an updated and modern storefront look, better sales and inventory tracking and increased security. There will also be new features, including more complete publication descriptions with cover photos, mailing lists, product cross-selling, featured products, coupons and tiered discounts, and affiliate programs opportunities.
