These five goals are fundamental to our operational plans and strategic outlines for CE. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:.5in;text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'><![if !supportLists]><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><span style='mso-list:Ignore'>1)<span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'> </span></span></span><![endif]><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Development and delivery of strong and effective programs in CE among all program areas. Strong and effective programs are both fully engaged with stakeholders and productive.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:.5in;text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'><![if !supportLists]><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><span style='mso-list:Ignore'>2)<span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'> </span></span></span><![endif]><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Programs in CE need to be well integrated both vertically and horizontally. Vertical integration represents strong linkages from campus-based programs and centers to county-based programs and stakeholders. Well integrated programs also involve effective lines of communication both from the university and CE extending outward into the communities and also the same communities effectively communicating back to the university and the points of program initiation. Horizontal integration represents an operational collection of appropriate expertise working together in program delivery.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-left:.5in;text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'><![if !supportLists]><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><span style='mso-list:Ignore'>3)<span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'> </span></span></span><![endif]><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>We will employ an asymmetric distribution of resources across the state for the development and delivery of Extension programs. Dennis, Sr., agronomist and former professor of plant sciences, passed away. Dennis taught agriculture and biology in Michigan high schools, 1946-1951, joined the staff of Michigan State University in 1951, receiving his Ph.D. in 1958, and in 1959 was appointed Extension Agronomist and Professor of Plant Sciences at the University of Arizona. He served in that position for 24 years. Services for Robert were held on Saturday, September 28 at 10:00am at East Lawn Palms Mortuary and Cemetery. Extension faculty and staff signed up to participate in this event in an effort to support making exercise a part of daily healthy habits. Momentum built, people engaged, and exercise fun was had by all!
