CORRECTION
There was an incorrect email reported in today's issue of Tuesday Morning
Notes in regards to the insect/arthropod sample identification and Garrett
Hughes, the Ph.D. student working with this program. The correct email is
gbhughes at email.arizona.edu.
The article is repeated below with the correct email and link:
For anyone submitting insect/arthropod samples from clientele for
identification, you should be aware of a new resource of the Arizona Pest
Management Center <http://ag.arizona.edu/apmc/> . Garrett Hughes is a Ph.D.
student working in Wendy Moore's lab and Insect Museum on the first ever
Extension Assistantship, sponsored by the Arizona Pest Management Center.
He is a limited resource (20 hours/week) but is now a designated contact for
identification of insect/arthropod samples related to pest management
problems of clientele. He is also working on the development of diagnostic
information and resources that will benefit Extension IPM. Garrett is now
accepting samples for identification and will focus on a quick turnaround to
inform IPM decision making. He works with Carl Olson (who will continue to
provide identification services) in the entomological museum. Counties
should continue to make maximum use of their local identification services,
such as master gardeners, whenever possible.
Garrett can be reached at gbhughes at email.arizona.edu.
